– 1/3rd of children under 5 yrs are stunted in India – 20% of children under 5 are wasted – 59% adolescent girls are anemic – 20% of maternal deaths are linked to anemia-Â – Inadequate nutrition fuels a human development crisis that can cost ~3% of GDP
Nutrition adequacy, awareness and advocacy can save lives, catalyse sustainable social impact & national growth
Mothers & children form a critically vulnerable group at the core of an inter-generational cycle of malnutrition. We cannot hope to attain sustainable social impact or socioeconomic growth without ending malnutrition first. Adequate nutrition is change
– significant reduction in cases of malnutrition, maternal & child anemia – Reduction in child stunting, wasting & underweight – Substantial growth in weight of new-borns – Increased adoption of breastfeeding
Our programs are scalable, sustainable & inclusive.
