A community-driven approach that involves all stakeholders helps to increase community participation and influence them to take responsibility for mother child health nutrition, building program efficacy and sustainability.
Family Eco-system: We engage with family members to create awareness on health, nutrition, WASH and promote health-seeking behaviors. We counsel them on providing adequate care and nutrition to mothers & children during home visits and encourage them to use govt. services facilities available to them; And share simple and cost-effective ways to enhance the nutritional value of meals with local ingredients.
Village Eco-system: At the Community and village level, we leverage relevant socio-cultural events for Social Behaviour Change Communication on prenatal care, complementary feeding, breastfeeding and nutritious recipes from local ingredients. We align with and support various government schemes and initiatives.
Government Eco-system: Govt. collaboration is crucial in ensuring the program has the necessary support. Program objectives are aligned with the Integrated Child Development Services Scheme (ICDS) team and Women Child Development department WCD). Gram Panchayat members and community leaders are invited to support the program execution and share progress during the Gram Sabha. We collaborate with Anganwadi Workers (AWW), Accredited Social Health Activist (ASHA) and Auxillary Nurse Midwife (ANM) to bring about the convergence of Health and Nutrition services provided through WCD, ICDS Health Department.
